It’s wireless and performs very well even in my environment full of electronic and mechanical interferences. The behind-the-head style also works well. I do not wear this headset to listen to music for hours at a time so I can’t tell if this design is appropriate for that. The headset is very light so it might not put a strain on your ears, even if you wear it for 6+ hours in a row. The only negative is the price of this head set. I find that the best deals and convenient places to purchase this head from is either directly from Logitech with Free Shipping or alternatively you can usually find the H760 also with free shipping from Amazon (right now at about $60).
Personally, I used my computer’s speaker and free microphone (one of those $5 microphones on a stick) for months until I realized how much better Skype meetings are with a quality headset.
Sure you can skip the quality headset but if like me, you use Skype for hours every month or every week you will definitely improve your job by using a quality headset. For me the wireless part is a big plus since I Skype hours every week with some of my staff throughout the world (US, India, Philippines, Morocco, France, Spain etc….).
